Drawings based on photos bought from a stall at the  Marolles Flea Market, Brussels.The photos are a collection of pictures of a man and a woman and their 3 children. There are Two boys and a younger girl, and the photos span a time of several years. In some the children are babies and in others much older.

They were for sale at a stall at the flea market and I felt so sad for these photos,  I bought a bunch of them. I have no idea who these people are and what led to the circumstance of the family photos ending up at a flea market stall. Some times they have dates and places written on the back. Sometimes locations can be clearly identified such as Ostend or special occasions such as the birth of a new baby, or a first communion. But mostly I have to speculate and imagine.
